- unes ulleres òptiques transparents amb pantalla, càmeres i seguiment espacial;
Android XR pot executar aplicacions, ancorar objectes a l’espai, interpretar gestos i mantenir diverses finestres.
- situar finestres al voltant;
- acostar-se o allunyar-se d’elements;
- seleccionar controls amb gestos;
- continuar veient les persones i l’habitació;
|---|---|
| X1S a les ulleres | Pantalla espacial, sensors i resposta de baixa latència |
| Snapdragon Reality Elite al puck | Android XR, aplicacions, Gemini i càrrega de càlcul |
La unitat externa incorpora:
- 12 GB de RAM i 256 GB, o 16 GB i 512 GB;
- bateria de 4.455 mAh i 34,84 Wh;
- càrrega de fins a 65 W;
- Wi-Fi 6/6E i Bluetooth 5.3;
- touchpad i lector d’empremtes;
- un USB-C per a les ulleres;
Mans, veu i touchpad
AURA admet tres formes d’entrada natives:
- seguiment de mans;
- veu;
Pot assenyalar, mirar o preguntar.
Els usos possibles inclouen:
- identificar informació d’un objecte;
- explicar el que apareix en una aplicació;
- orientar-se amb mapes;
- recuperar instruccions sense ocupar les mans;
- crear contingut espacial;
- combinar veu, mirada i gestos.
Aplicacions normals i experiències XR
- profunditat;
- ancoratge a l’habitació;
- gestos de mà;
- objectes tridimensionals;
- diverses pantalles;
- context visual.
- lectura de text petit;
- estabilitat quan es mou el cap;
- fatiga ocular;
- pressió al nas i les orelles;
- compatibilitat amb graduació;
Creació i exploració
So i comunicació
Preu, reserva i disponibilitat
- el preu complet s’anunciarà més endavant;
- no cal pagar la resta fins a confirmar;
- la reserva és reemborsable abans de la compra final;
- autonomia real segons aplicació;
- pes i comoditat de les ulleres;
- calor del puck;
- latència de gestos;
- visibilitat sota el sol;
- uniformitat i nitidesa de la pantalla;
- precisió de l’ancoratge espacial;
- qualitat del so;
- rendiment de Gemini sense connexió estable;
- política d’actualitzacions;
Conclusions

I feel like I got a glimpse into the future, courtesy of X-Rail and their upcoming X-Rail aura. Now recently at AWA, the Augmented World Expo, X-Rail brought the Android X-Rail platform to life with a combination of a compute puck that does a ton of the processing powered by the Snapdragon reality elite and a pair of glasses that are very signature to X-Rail. I mean, I've been a fan of extra lender AR glasses for some time now, happily using this pair of the X-Rail 1S. Not only is a way of blowing up the smaller screens in my life, but also by leveraging much of the tech that's found in here to anchor displays in my real world viewpoint, or to have the display just smoothly follow me wherever I go. And now we're reaching a whole new level with a full computing solution that feels super futuristic. Come check out this exciting tech with me. It's Joshua Fagara. What's going on everybody? Here are my impressions of the X-Rail Order. A big thanks to X-Rail for partnering with me on this video. As such, I got a chance to get some time within the world of spatial computing and Android XR and I can't wait to go back and use this as a proper daily platform when it comes out later this fall.

Speaking of which, you can reserve extra ore on now for $99. But that amount will then turn into $199 of credit, put toward your order when everything does launch later this fall. To learn more about extra ore, you can hit the links that I have in the description and in the pinned comment below. And with that, let's get the compute puck plugged in and put on those glasses. Now it's pretty simple to wrap one's head around what Android XR provides because it is Android at the end of the day, it's just made into an actual floating interface now that opens apps and connected devices into Windows that you can literally move around using hand gestures. And then you can anchor them into parts of your actual real world view. The various Windows do feel like portals into different experiences that you can have open and running all at once, but we'll get more into that multitasking in a little bit. First off though, let's talk about the hardware that is powering all of this magic. That starts with a compute puck powered by the newly announced and powerful Snapdragon reality elite, which was front and sensor alongside Xeroora at the Snapdragon booth at the augmented world expo. That chip is at the heart of the various experiences that Xeroora provides.

The puck itself is about the size of a smartphone with the entire front made up of a touch pad that can help with navigation. However, hand tracking and gestures are definitely the main way that you're going to get around to that interface. There are a few buttons for like power and volume, as well as ports for connecting the glasses or a charger or any peripherals that you might want to add to your spatial experience. Oh, and finally, then set the top to help with the cooling as there is a fan that pushes the hot air out. This is why the back of the puck has a clip so that the unit can be clipped somewhere rather than put into a pocket so you can achieve better airflow. Once connected, the glass has actually feel much like X-reels current offerings like this, but now you have a fully see-through optical package in front of the eyes so that the rear world is as visible as the digital layer. That digital layer is achieved through Sony Micro OLED displays in each eye, rocking up to a 120Hz refresh rate.

And finally, there is electrochromic dimming in the outer elements which can darken to five different levels so that immersion and integration can be dialed in to one's preference. Within the temples are the world-facing hand tracking cameras which are also pointed a bit downward so that they can recognize movements in the hands even when they are lower and closer to a lap. This helps make a bunch of hand gestures like rotating your hands around, pinching and moving elements feel much more natural. Now that being said, the hand tracking can also detect when you're digitally touching something. which does become a thing, depending on what app or game is being used or played. And together with the center mounted camera, the whole setup provides 6D-OF spatial anchoring, so that X-Rora can keep windows wherever you leave them. Think putting a YouTube video over on the wall over here so that you can just glance back at it while you're doing whatever else you might be doing in the room. X-Railora knows where it is in relation to your head position so that window was properly rendered whenever you look in that actual direction. It feels pretty wild in practice, yet it feels seamless thanks to some really great hand tracking tech and the processing that Snapdragon reality elite manages to provide. So what does this all look like in practice? Well, after you get used to how your hands are recognized and then utilize for navigation, it's a matter of opening up the home screen.

and that can actually happen at any time by bringing your hand up and then turning it over and pinching the little dot that appears. That's a lot like pressing home on an Android smartphone or tablet and the resulting app drawer provides a glimpse into plenty of possibilities. From here, up to five customizable and simultaneously running Windows can be opened making for that futuristic experience. If you have all of the Windows open near you, it's like customizing a cockpit full of productivity apps, browsing media games, or all of them at the same time. Things can get really interesting when you actually start moving all of the windows to different places in your actual space. And while I did not get too crazy with that during my demos, I'm definitely going to give that a try because that virtual window that I make for something like Netflix or YouTube, I could make it bigger than pretty much any other screen I have in my life.

Couple all of that with the electrochromic dimming set to full transparency, and my daily work and play can integrate seamlessly into spaces of my apartment without actually physically taking up any room in it. It's just a pair of glasses that are less than 95 grams on my face and the compute puck at my side. And really, this is what makes the whole experience feel like a big aha moment. Until now, we've mostly experienced spatial computing in headsets, ex-real or instead achieves Android XR through a lightweight form factor. And if you're already familiar with X-Rules other glasses, then you can expect a similar fit and feeling in the X-Rura. Personally, I've traveled all over with these X-Rules on S, classes, and now with Android X, are giving the access to virtually all the same apps and content. It feels like a no-brainer to just bring X-Rura on the road now and use it as a great pair of projector glasses and a powerful spatial computer all on the grip. What excited me further was how X-Rura, when beyond having these apps open and floating in the real world.

Plenty of other experiences actually put you in the middle of the action, taking spatial content to a whole new dimension. I briefly got some time exploring the Earth through immersive mode in Google Maps, moving the map around a 3D rendering of San Francisco, and then pinching my way up into space and then back down to ground level in Tokyo, Japan. A game called Demi-O-Pood. Tabletop Fantasy gameplay right in front of me. Complete with dice rolls, small pieces I could move on the board, and cards that magically appeared in my left hand when I turned it over, which I could then play on my pieces for the combat. Yet another demo had me drawing lines in the air, and those lines became strings that played chords. I could actually go up to them, and the hand tracking actually recognized that I would strum those lines and then play the notes accordingly. What got me the most here was how seamlessly the system was able to go from hand tracking to spatial awareness to understanding what no needed to be played based upon which line I was literally plucking. And then the AI processing in the Snapdragon reality elite was also a main portion of the booth demos, including one that used simple shapes drawn by my hands to create images that changed in real time as I moved or added more shapes.

These are just a few of the experiences that I got to try out during my demo, and they are just a few of the many that will be available in Android XR. There's plenty of other games, immersive experiences, and even learning that can be achieved through the unique way that spatial computing presents it all. A final word on all of this goes to Gemini, which is ever present in Android XR and in XR or a. Not only is it possible to ask Gemini anything whenever or wherever you might be in the interface or an apps, it can perform contextually based on what you're looking at. And I mean that digitally and literally due to the camera that's on the front of the glasses. Take for example, plugging in a handheld gaming console in the compute puck, which I'm definitely gonna do when I get my hands on this. The game you're playing on that handheld console becomes one of the five windows that are also fully manipulable and sit alongside the rest of whatever you might have open. Let's say you're playing the game and you get stuck.

Simply use your voice to evoke Gemini, ask it for some help, and then the answer comes up in the form of a guide or a YouTube video that can be set nearby, ready to help you get past that part in your game, once you need it. Or we can use the camera in the X-Froora to tell us more about something in the real world. I even asked Gemini about the hairstyle of the person that was giving me the demo, and I heard the answer through the Bose-Tune speakers that were found in the arms of the glasses. By the way, those speakers were plenty good for enjoying content from the YouTube app, which is right over on the left side of me as I was asking Gemini, those very questions. X4 or a really seems like an inflection point and how we experience the digital world, and it's exciting because it's making that digital world blend in with our real world, and what already feels like a smooth and seamless fashion.

Transparent and wearable spatial computing sounds like a complicated endeavor that requires a lot of support and power, but from the compute puck powered by Snapdragon to the Android X-Source software with Gemini to it all coming through a pair of lightweight glasses, X-Roram manages to put it all in a package that isn't overwhelming. In fact, it feels quite intuitive and will already have so much to offer when it becomes available later this fall. To learn more about X-Roura and to reserve one for yourself, you can check out the links in the description and in the pinned comment below. Remember, the $99 that you put toward the reservation becomes $199 credit toward your actual purchase. So, let me know your thoughts on the X-Roura and the comments downstairs as well, and let me know if you're heading over to reserve one for yourself. From there though, I'm going to go ahead and call it on this one. Thank you so much for kicking it with me today in an immersive, spatial computing world. Please stay care of yourselves in each other and. Enjoy your tea everybody.
