I bought every single colorway of the MacBook Neo. Not because I love them and not because I want to show them to you. No, no, no, no. I got something far more interesting planned. The MacBook Neo is widely known to be one of the most repairable MacBooks ever. So, that means I'm going to have to take apart every single part and put it back together and that's such a tedious job that I've recruited Jake Bellavance to help me out. >> I don't know why. Uh I am not handy at all. In fact, I tried to recently fix one of my film cameras and now it's just a skeleton cuz I [music] I messed it up. >> Great. Um but, this is supposed to be easy to take apart and Apple has really good repair manuals. Every step will be right there. >> Yeah, I think iFixit has guides, too. They already have their screwdrivers and stuff. Like it should be easy as well. >> Why are you going to use iFixit when Apple's manual is perfectly good? >> That's just probably where I would go. Like, you know what I mean? I'd probably search like Apple repair and it would get iFixit. get iFixit. >> All right, here we go. This full disassembly required we remove 11 parts from the top case. >> Okay, so get the three IP bit for the antenna. We're doing the antenna. >> Use the antenna tool. >> Um we don't really have that, do we? >> Is it supposed to spark like that? >> No, no, it's not. Lift the antenna out of the top case. [music] So, as we know, Apple is stingy with storage. This MacBook Neil's logic board only contains 256 GB. Okay, so that's good. So, we figured that out. Battery, logic board, antenna, base, and keyboard and box match together cuz of the serial number on the logic board. One is that despite having a more efficient chip, it weighs the same and is thicker than a MacBook Air. One could chalk that up to market segmentation.
