And my third most favorite ultra phone right now is the Poco F8 Ultra. Now if you want yourself an ultra branded blower but you don't have brief cases full of lovely cash to spunk out on your next pocket pal, I'll have a squint to the roller marvellous Poco F8 Ultra. At the time I shot this week video, the Poco F8 Ultra would search you back around 600 GB, so that's less than half the cost of some of its other rivals in this roundup.

Even the camera tech is pretty decent to be fair, both to the 5 times optical zoom to get close to the subject. I'm sure it's not quite as capable as some of the other much more expensive ultra phones in this roundup, but it is a wee smasher via everyday picks. I gotta say a puck was having a bit of a blinder over here, overall, so if you want a proper solid flagship alternative.

I'm going to check out the Poco Effiate Ultra, it's a proper week, cracker. Number two on the list is the Vivo X300 Ultra. Now if on the other hand you have more money than God, well, may I introduce you to the Vivo X300 Ultra. Now, like pretty much all Vivo Fords, this can be a bit of a bolder to track down in certain regions, including yes, good old, blighty. But it is worth that wee bit of effort if you want an ultra smart phone that really truly earns that ultra moniker. This chongster packs all of the premium tech you would imagine from a 144Hz Amoled screen and beefy stereo speaker set up to that super powered snapdragon Aetaly Gen 5 chipset backed by a healthy 16 gigs of RAM for those intense gaming sessions. And battery life is certainly among the best in its ultra-form around up to 6,600 mAh via stuffed inside of that chunky chassis can happily keep you going for a full weekend if you don't go too nuts. Well, certainly survive the longest and most arduous of days if you are pilot on a bit of pressure. And while Vivo's regular phone's already boasts some of the best optics around, the X300 Ultra is a proper photography beast. Spaffin' our great looking snaps with bugger all effort.

As long as you don't mind, a rather obvious bit of process and it is particularly good when snapping livens objects like this fuzzy wee git. And if you basically want to carry around a DSLR in your pants, well, no worries, just slap on Vivo's elaborate camera kit and you'll enhance the already solid zoom action and make the whole shooting experience much more comfortable. So overall, Vivo X300 Ultra absolute smasher certainly one of my favorite smartphones in 2026. But there is one other ultra blur that does just enough to rip its crown away. And that's my favorite smartphone right now, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. Yeah, hands down and there's knacketle northern as humble opinion. The best smartphone you can buy yourself right now. So pass on even the almighty Oppo Find X9 Pro and guaranteeing itself a permanent place in my pants. I mean for a start, it is the best looking ultra phone here. Thanks to that Tundra Unbur model.

which for me even piped the denim-tastic Poco-F8 Ultra. Colour OS is still my favourite of all of the launches slapped on these ultra-phones. It's slick and smooth that boasts in some fantastic features including a rather dense and helpful game-on-mode. Otherwise, perhaps not everyone will be particularly enchanted by all of the AI shenanigans pretty much obligatory now in 2026. Which you can access via a quick poke of that AI key slapped on the left edge. But pretty much zero notes for Upor here. The Finix 9 Ultra does everything you would expect from an ultra-branded mobile. Be it smashing through massive open world titles like Weather and Waves, and survive in the longest of days with its 7000 mAh battery. Of course, please and your peepers with its gorgeous crisp and poppy amulet display. But for me, it's Upor's camera tech which really makes it small for worthy of that best ultra-form title. You've got a massive sensor for the main and the telephoto shooters so you can capture incredible stills even at night even when zoom in. And there's also a separate 10 times zoom lens when you want to punch in from a ridiculous distance. Including of course, yes, more obligatory, tele-extender supports just like the Vivo and kids just still somehow not satisfied with the amount of zoom action on this thing.

The video chops are also fantastic and pro camera users have a wealth of tools and a master mode that bypasses most of Apple's process and you fancy something a bit more natural. So while for me the Apple Finix XI Ultra is about as close to perfection as you'll find in 2026. Doing just about enough to justify that slightly horrifying price tag.
